SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Regional Water Authority (RWA) is pleased to announce that Adam Walukiewicz Robin has joined as Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Program Manager.
“Adam brings special expertise and a deep understanding of the complexities of California water,” said RWA Executive Director John Woodling. “He is an outstanding addition to our team and will bring great value to RWA’s members.”
RWA represents nearly two dozen water providers serving two million people in Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, Yolo and Sutter counties.
Mr. Robin’s previous roles include serving as Senior Regulatory Advocate at the Association of California Water Agencies and Attorney in the Office of Chief Counsel at the State Water Resources Control Board. He has also worked in the California Legislature with the Assembly Committee on Water, Parks & Wildlife, and for the California Farm Bureau Federation.
“RWA is uniquely positioned to advance the Sacramento region’s advocacy agenda on water,” Robin said. “I look forward to working with our members to build on the success of RWA’s advocacy efforts over the past several years.”
In his new position, Mr. Robin works closely with RWA’s member agencies and contract lobbyist to identify legislative and regulatory priorities, develop strategies and coalitions, track legislation and advocate on behalf of RWA and Sacramento-area water providers and their customers.
Mr. Robin received his law degree from U.C. Davis, where he was a Dean’s Merit Scholar and earned the Environmental Law Certificate. He completed his undergraduate studies at U.C. Berkeley and holds dual B.A. degrees in Environmental Economics & Policy and Political Science. Adam currently serves on the Board of Advisors of the California Water Law Journal.
The Regional Water Authority (RWA) is a joint powers authority representing two dozen water providers and affiliates in the greater Sacramento area. Its primary mission is to help its members protect and enhance the reliability, availability, affordability and quality of water resources.
