Notice of Intent to Prepare an Update to an Integrated Regional Water Management Plan

By February 4, 2013May 20th, 2016Public Notices

The Regional Water Authority (RWA) is in the process of preparing an update to an Integrated Regional Water Management Plan (IRWMP) adopted in 2006 for portions of Placer, El Dorado, and Sacramento counties. RWA is a joint powers authority created to assist more than 20 member water suppliers with protecting and enhancing the reliability, availability, affordability and quality of water resources.

The IRWMP is a planning document that seeks input from many stakeholders to improve water resources management in the greater Sacramento region. The IRWMP identifies and prioritizes projects that provide multiple benefits for water supply, water quality, flood management, habitat improvement, and recreation.

The public is invited to participate in the development of this planning document. For more information on the IRWMP, please contact Rob Swartz at (916) 967-7692 or rswartz@rwah2o.org. More information on the IRWMP update effort is available at https://rwah2o.org/rwa/programs/irwmp/.
